Jacket

The original design of the jacket was inspired by the lines found in nature and human-made structures. It utilizes curves and straight lines to create a subtle business look.
The mock up was made from 100% cotton muslin. The jacket has a cropped hem, slightly bell shaped sleeves and a collar that was inspired by the shape of fish fins. This inspiration changed the concept of the jacket slightly which changed the curves found in the final design.

The jacket was made in Nike size 42 size. It has a cropped hem length, slight bell sleeves and a curved lapel. Three layers of interfacing were used to create the structured shape. The sleeves are two pieces to allow for greater movement and comfort. A wool, cotton, or linen blend should be used for future iterations of the jacket to be comfortable in a range of temperatures while still creating structure.
